The "Flag Halyard" chair is a nod to the early modernists such as Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe and Marcel Breuer. The designer Hans J Wegner, trained cabinetmaker, proves with stainless steel structure of the chair he had not mastered only the wood, his favorite material, but also the design in chromed steel tubes. The chair is made with 240 continuous meters halyard flag. The halyard is made of natural flax rope around a strong enough static leather inlay stretching to avoid unnecessary wear. Preparation and braiding the halyard on the chair requires about 14 hours of work at a skilled craftsman. The sheepskin shag optionally softened the steel Industrial look by adding comfort.......
